Maiden Michigan III - a 16-foot Hacker/Zimmer/Chris Craft/Philbrick-inspired design from the 1930's that Higby designed. Made from cherry and walnut with basswood hull and white oak frame. (All wood from Michigan.) This gentleman's racer was completed by Higby in 2013 and it was honored at the Boats on the Boardwalk event in Traverse City in August, 2015, as "Best Contemporary Small Craft" (Water Wonderland Chapter of the A.C.B.S.).
